Fastpitch District Results

The Fox Lady Foxes fastpitch season came to an end yesterday. The Lady Foxes traveled to Sterling to take on the Bray-Doyle Lady Donkeys and the Sterling Lady Tigers. In the first contest, the Lady Foxes fell to the Lady Donkeys, 12-5. In the elimination game for the Lady Foxes, they lost to the top ten rated Lady Tigers, 13-0. The Lady Foxes ended the season with a record of 8-12. A big improvement from last year's inaugural season of only 2 victories. "Overall, this was a fun group to be around. They have a lot of personality. I think they will be more focused next year. And we'll push ahead to an even more successful season."

Fastpitch District Preview

By Cierra Lofton and Danielle Morris

The Lady Foxes Fastpitch team will be preparing this week for Districts at Sterling High School. Sterling, one of the top ten teams in the state, will be the top seed and that leaves the Lady Foxes and Bray Lady Donkeys, with Bray being the bottom seed. If the Lady Foxes play well and do things right, we should be able to compete with both teams, according to Coach Yeiser. They have been practicing after school on the days they do not have games. "I've had a few girls missing quite a bit lately because of other activities or just plain lack of 'want to'", says Coach Yeiser. But the girls that show up are working hard and trying to get better. And that is all you can ask of your team as a coach.

The Lady Foxes will be playing Thursday at 3:00PM against Bray at Sterling. Come out and support your Lady Foxes in the Playoffs!

Monday Diamond Results

Monday, the Fox Lady Foxes junior high fastpitch team took the field for the final time this season at Mill Creek. Unfortunately, the Lady Foxes dropped their final contest. In the nightcap, the high school Lady Foxes fastpitch team defeated the Lady Bullfrogs for their final tune-up before districts this Thursday at Sterling.
