It is Gametime!

By Lacey Watkins and Catie Spigner

This week is the kickoff of a new Fox football season. The Foxes will open their season against the Ryan Cowboys. When asked how the lose of some of the bigger players will effect the team this season Coach Phelps replied, "We are not near as tall, so we will need shorter pants," he laughed and went on to say. "We have to block lower and be more aggressive."

Earlier this week we interviewed one of the Fox football player Chris Spigner. When asked how he thought the team would do this upcoming Friday he stated, "If we go out and play like we know we can we will definitely win." We asked Chris what they did to prepare themselves for this game he answered with, "We watched film, ran over plays, and we also studied the opponents plays."

Come out and supports your Fox Foxes this Friday when they play the Ryan Cowboys at 7:30PM at Ryan!

FCA is Back!

By Dillon Langley and Dalton Langley

FCA is the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Fox has had FCA before, but fot the past two years there has not been anyone to run the program. This year, the new coach and teacher, Mr. Worley, and the band teacher, Mr. Stringer, are working together to bring back the FCA program. Mr. Worley has been involved in FCA his whole life and is ready to get the program running. His main goal this year is to get the students more involved. The FCA is going to Stilwater this Saturday to listen to alumni speaker from OSU and to watch the OSU football game. The FCA group is going to meet once a month and because of sports, the time and days will be varied from time to time. If you have any questions about the FCA, please contact Mr. Worley or Mr. Stringer.

New Teacher Profile - Terri Newell

By William Lovely and Keaton Argo

We interviewed Mrs. Terri Newell, a new teacher at Fox. She teaches Spanish, 8th grade Math, and Senior Projects. What she likes about Fox is that people are friendly and care about the students and they help each other whenever then need it. Mrs. Newell is looking forward to this year is new experiences and working with the students and faculty.

She is originally from Fox and we asked her why she wanted to teach at Fox and she said, "because my kids go here, it is a really nice school and they care about our community." An interesting fact about Mrs. Newell is that she lived in Ecuador for a short period and she visited the ruins of Machu Pichu. We asked her what she would like to say to the Fox students and she said, "thank God every day for your blessing for living in America and tengan un buen ano (have a good year) and Go Big Red!"

New Teacher Profile - Mrs. Tracy Jones

By Cierra Loften and Danielle Morris

Another one of the new additions to Fox is Mrs. Tracy Jones. She is a Christian, a wife, mother, a teacher and the new High School Cheer Coach. She teaches Family and Consumer Sciences. NOT Home Economics. She said, "It has not been called Home Ec. since 1996!" She looks forward to having an amazing year here at Fox! She was born in Ardmore, raised here at Fox and so happy to be back home. Once a Fox, always a Fox! She said, "I wanted to be here at Fox because I wanted my three children to have an education where they are a name not a number. I wanted to be here so I could raise my children closer to family." An interesting fact about Mrs. Jones is four of the high school teachers were also her high school teachers! She would like to say to the Fox students who think they cannot wait to get out of here because there is nothing to do: "It is what you make it!"
