Monday 5th and 6th Track Results

On a windy, cold day, the 5th and 6th grade tracksters ran at Velma. With only 10 Fox tracksters and the conditions, Coach Spigner was proud of how his crew ran. Lawton Loyd was the lone Fox trackster to medal, place 3rd overall in the the 200M dash. Keep up the hard work, little tracksters!

Retirement Profile: Ms. Crawshaw

By Claudia Ramirez As you may all know, Ms. Crawshaw will be retiring after this year, she has been here at Fox High School for 28 long years. She is going to miss all her friends, the kids, her running buddy Liz and just living down here because this has been home to her. She has mixed emotions about it being almost time to go. She is excited, sad (when she thinks about it) and calm (because she knows this is what she needs to do). The funniest moment she said she will never forget is, "Years ago when sagging first became popular, I had this boy I was always telling him to pick up his pants and I told him I would laugh so hard if someone pulled his pants down. Then the next day two girls stood on each side of the door and when he came into class they pulled his pants down. He kept them up after that." When Ms. Crawshaw leaves she said she's going to do anything she wants. Such as getting up later than 6:05 in the morning! Your a great teacher and we will miss you very much Ms. Crawshaw!

Retiring Profile: Mrs. Pevehouse

Mrs. Pevehouse has been a counselor here for 11 years, and been working for 37 years. After she retires she wants to work at her store in Ardmore more and spend more time at home with her husband. She just thinks that it is her time to retire. She want to stay home to take care of her husband. When she came to Fox she said, "It feels like home" and she loves to spend time with kids. She has mixed emotions about leaving, but she knows it is time to move on. We will miss you, Mrs. Pevehouse!

Retirement Profile: Mrs. McCartney

by Mayara Carreiro and Jessica Schmidt

Mrs. McCartney has been teaching at Fox for over 20 years. And now, she is ready to retire. She has really enjoyed the teaching, interacting with the kids, going to ball games and of course, the cheerleading and she has done a real good job with the girls.

Sure, there are things she will miss like her colleagues and the activities but she plans on still coming to ball games in the years to come.

She will use her free time to enjoy not having all the stressful school work. She can do things she has not gotten done yet. She also wants to spend more time with her mother.

So thank you Mrs. McCartney for everything you have done for us and we will surely miss you. We hope you can have a good time!

Retirement Profile: Coach Butler

By Cody Plemmons and Danielle Morris

All of you know Coach Butler, but most of you may not know that he is going to retire this year. He has been working at Fox for 20 years. After he retires, he plans on going to watch his grandson's Senior year activities, work on the farm, fish, hunt, and probably some odd jobs. He is retiring because, "40 years is enough for anybody!" Coach Butler said. "It was like coming home when I started working at Fox, I love the kids I work with and have enjoyed the staff and the administration." He has lots of memories at Fox like playoffs, championships, and seeing kids he has worked with being successful. He feels a little apprehensive about retirement being so close. He is going to miss the relationships with kids and faculty the most. Congratulations, Coach Butler and thank you for being our teacher and coach.

Fox FCCLA Blood Drive

By Kaylee Schier and Tyler Townsend

The Blood Drive will be held in the Fox Gym Parking Lot from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. because of the large number of people attending. Every 1 unit you give, you save 4 lives. If you cannot stop by today, you can go to the Ardmore OBI office and give blood and put it under Fox High School. You can give blood every 58 days!

Ms. Crawshaw is very pleased. She says, "this is the largest number of people she can remember having signed up." The drive coordinator was very impressed with how many people signed up for the blood drive. This is why she started the drive an extra hour earlier and will go an extra hour later if needed.

Ms. Crawshaw says, "she appreciates all FCCLA members getting people to sign up and getting people to help others."

Any student that gives up to 4 times before graduation can participate in OBI Honor Cord Program.

Come and give blood today!
