Basketball Season Over

The Fox Foxes basketball season came to an end this past Thursday at Velma as they dropped their Consolation round game to Alex, 52-49. The 16 win season for the Foxes is the first time in a long time the Foxes have had that many wins. Coach Yeiser said, "I'm sure we'll look back at it in a couple of weeks and feel good about what we accomplished, but it hurts right now. I am proud of these guys though."

Regional Action

Today, the Fox Foxes play in the Regional Consolation bracket of the Class A basketball state tournament. The Foxes play Alex for the 3rd time this year. In the two previous games, the Foxes split with the Longhorns with the Foxes winning their last contest on February 4th. Today's contest starts at 3PM. Coach Yeiser said, "It's win or go home time. We've played them twice and this is the rubber match. If we play well, hopefully we will come out on top."

Transportation Bond

Today, the polls are open in our district to vote for school board positions and a transportation bond. We caught up with Coach Phelps and asked him about the bond issue on the ballot. Coach Phelps said, "We try to ask for a transportation bond every five years. To keep our vehicles routing so that our students are transported in the safest possible way."
If the bond passes, the school plans on purchasing 3 new route buses, a new activity bus and a new suburban.

Get out to the polls and vote today!

Playoff Foxes

The Fox Foxes (16-8) will play the Alex Longhorns at 3PM this Thursday. It is win or go home time. If the Foxes win, they will play the loser of the Binger-Oney/Ft. Cobb-Broxton game on Friday at Elgin starting at 3PM.

Come out and support your Fox Foxes!
