Lions, Tigers and... State Capital? Oh my!

On May 5th and 6th, Mr. Plant, Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. Phelps are taking the 5th, 6th and 7th graders on a 2-day long trip to Oklahoma City.
On Thursday, they will go to the State Capital, then visit the Murrah Building Memorial and after that eat at Chilinos in Bricktown in honor of Cinco de Mayo, a Hispanic holiday. They will spend the night in the zoo and walk through it on Friday. Mr. Plant plans to leave the zoo about 12:30 or 1:00pm. He hopes that the students will get some knowledge about Oklahoma's history and the dangerous things that can happen anywhere from the trip to the memorial building. The zoo trip is to educate the kids and let them have some fun.
So we hope the upper elementary has fun and learns a thing or two along the way.
