FCCLA

By Anissa McConnell and Jessica Schmidt

If you really want to learn something about family and community, you would really like FCCLA. FCCLA are planning to do a lot of things this year. Right now they are planning to have a Welcome Back to School party. They will have all kinds of different games like, Uno, X-Box, Wii, Skip Bo, Phase 10, Chicken Foot, Dominoes, Applestapples, Scattagories, Monopoly, Life and much much more. It will be on September 21st at 6:00 p.m. They will also have door prizes and snacks.

Right now FCCLA is designing t-shirts and FCCLA president Kaylee Schier is excited about it, "they are awesome!" The FCCLA will be going to Marietta on October 12th for the district meeting with other 17 schools. November 9th they will be having a blood drive and they will also be raising money for March of Dimes.

If you want to be a member of FCCLA you have to be in a FCCLA class, or have been a member in the past. You can also get in touch with Ms. Crawshaw at the school.

Ms. Crawshaw thinks it is very important to have FCCLA because, FCCLA is the only organization that deals with community and family. They do it because, it gives them a chance to work with people. It is something different for the students.

The officers this year for FCCLA are: Kaylee Schier-President, Brianna Lovely-Vice President, Danielle Morris, Secretary, Dalton Langley-Treasurer, Desmond James-Student Council Representative, Lydia Turner-Reporter, and Jessica Stewart-Historian.
