New Head Cook... Mrs. Darla Mumford

By Kaylee Schier and Desmond James

The Fox Cafeteria has a different look! Thanks to our new Cafeteria Manager. Mrs. Darla Mumford is now the head cook. Her job includes ordering food, making out monthly menus, help Emma Rodriguez cook the main dish, and taking care of any maintenance.

She has worked for Fox Public Schools for 14 years. Mrs. Darla has been a pre-school teachers aid, elementary custodian, helped in the concession stand for many events, drove a bus, high school custodian, and now her occupation is the Cafeteria Manager. The job opening was offered to her over the summer. Mrs. Darla said, "I felt like they needed someone new and different and with a change of ideas." Mrs. Darla is very pleased with her new job. She enjoys getting to have a change of work, after being a custodian for 14 years.

This year the kids are enjoying the new foods that are being served. Many days the cafeteria line is backed up to the door way. The workers are trying there best to get the line going faster, but it is a small problem because the lunch hour has been cut back. Despite that, the students are enjoying having the many different food options that are being served daily. Welcome to the cafeteria, Mrs. Darla Mumford!!!
