Pre-K! Full Day!

By Kaylee Schier and Desmond James

The youngsters are back in school. After 21 years this is the first year that Mrs. Karen Sims and Mrs. Debbie Bohhanon has had them all day.

The pre-school this year has changed their schedule. In years past, they only went to school half a day and the second half to head start or went home if their parents chose. This year, there are 8 currently enrolled. They are planning on going to the Chickasaw Annual Festival in October which is held in Tishomingo, in March going to the Steve Fite concert in Ardmore, and many more.

Since they are getting to go to school all day now, the little Foxes are getting to do more activities in their daily schedule. Mrs. Sims said, "she thinks the parents are liking it better because she is they only teacher they have to worry about getting papers back to so it is easier on the parents." They are getting the choice to bring their own lunch if they would like.

During the day, Mrs. Sims said, "they are learning their ABC's, how to say, and sound them out using zoo phonic." Congratulations pre-school for getting to attend school all day. Keep up the good work!!!
